This section will describe how the game is structured
with an overview of the menu systems and general navigation through the
game.
- The first major difference from Forza 2 can be
found as soon as you start the game. A nice personal touch is
added by the British voice actor Peter Egan (wiki).
This approach adds a lot to the game. It gives it character.
-
- He will first ask how familiar you are with
racing games to get a sense of the difficulty setting/driving
assists to recommend for your first race. (Options: Casual,
Regular, Serious).
-
- From here, the player is given the opportunity to
race the FM3 cover car, the Audi R8 5.2 FSI quattro around the Camino
Viego de Montserrat track. The purpose of the race is to
help you determine whether you've made the right choice in terms of
the difficulty setting. After you finish the race, you
can start your career by choosing your first car.

Set Difficulty
In several locations at various stages of play in
the game, you have the opportunity to change your difficulty
settings. You will be able to set the difficulty at two
levels: high level (master) and detailed level (customized assists and difficulty) :
1. Set Master: Difficulty can be set to one of
several master presets: Easy/(Medium?)/(Professional?)/Custom
- 2. Set assists and difficulty: FM3 will use
a no penalty approach to the use of assists (no option decreases the
payout from a race). Turning off assists will only increase the
winnings received. The available assists are:
- autobrake (one-button racing) - on / off (0% /
+10%)
- anti-lock brakes - on/off
- stability control - on/off
- traction control - on/off
- shifting - automatic/manual
- suggested line - off/brake only/full
- opponent difficulty - easy/medium/hard (0% / +10%
/ +15%)
- damage/fuel/tire wear - cosmetic / limited? /
simulation?
