First DLC Pack release

A couple of week after the first patch to the game, MGS released the sponsored Nissan car pack with three free cars.

In addition, a new R1-class Peugeot R8 was also made available for purchase for 50cr on the Marketplace. This is the car that was included in the LCE versions in France.

It sounds like Nissan and Turn 10 have a number of contests and competitions lined up for these cars, so if you're interested, get familiar with them and try creating some new designs on them.

Auction House: Bill Giese - Senior Game Designer:
- provide players with a simple system to search, bid, and sell cars
- even if a car is locked to you in the single-player career, you could still go to the Auction House
- messaging system built in to the game
- Turn 10 will routinely put up "unicorns" (one-of-a-kind designs) exclusive to the auction house
- no last second bids, always a waiting period after a bid is made, bidding continues until the bidding stops..
- Auction House is divided into three different tabs both in the game and online: Search, My Bids, and My Auctions
- Search: Price, Region, Car Level, Car Class, Make, Model, Year, Drive Type, Engine Position, Power, Curb Weight, and Design - featured auctions will be placed first, then those with least amount of time remaining.
- My Bids: shows your bids - when you place a bid on someone's car, your in-game credits will be removed from your career account and put up on our Auction House server
- My Auctions: track of all the cars you're currently selling in the Auction House
- you can set "Buyout" price for your car
- can set the length of time a car is up for auction (max 24 hrs) the longer you leave your auction up, the more handling fee you pay
- you can lock a design to a car

Forza Motorsport 2 car-upgrades introduction with Turn 10's game director Dan Greenawalt. - they've split out engine block upgrades and top half upgrades. - you can choose from different tire manufacturers, not just different compounds - fm2 tracks weight and inertia for clutch, tranny, crank, driveline, flywheel as well as wheel widths, rim model and rim size - they’ve added roughly 100 more engine swaps for even more cars - you can not only swap out the powerplant, you can even put in a new drivetrain - as your car levels, you unlock discounts on different aftermarket manufacturer brands.

- homologation only in the four R classes - each class is homologated separately
- basically they'll slightly alter the cars to allow all the cars in a class to be competitive (some will be better than they otherwise might have been and a few others may have their stats reduced).
