News Release: Forza Motorsport 2 Platinum Hits

It looks like the North American Platinum Hits version of the game is going to be an incredible bargain. Here's the press release: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/news/2008/0819-forza2platinum.htm

It includes the retail game plus all the downloadable cars and tracks, plus the three Limited Edition cars and the preorder 350Z for only $19.99, which I believe would close to the price for just the DLC currently available online. Hopefully that will mean more people online will have all the tracks to race on.

What we can note from this: I think FM2 downloadable content is likely complete; hopefully we're close to an FM3 announcement.

Platinum Hits version of Forza Motorsport 2?

I was looking through some of the upcoming titles for the 360 and noticed what appears to be a listing for the Platinum Hits version of Forza Motorsport 2.

The only details it provides are that it is a 2-disk version of the game. Anyone's guess what might be on the second disk, my guess is the typical making of movies. Given the price point, I doubt that it includes any of the DLC.

I personally hadn't seen any announcement of this coming but it was definitely a likely candidate for the PH collection. I would have thought that this might have coincided with an announcement of Forza Motorsport 3.

Of course this could have been put on their list of upcoming titles months back and remain there in error. I guess we'll find out in a few weeks.
